Late July 2013, we set off with a group of friends for a short getaway at Mount Bromo, East Java, Indonesia. Initially, it was a simple trip to view the milky way up on the mountain, but the national park has much to offer and we decided to document our journey to share with our family and friends.

 

In a span of 5 days, we traveled from Surabaya to Cemoro Lawang, a village located just beside the mountain, and stayed there for 3 nights.

 

We explored and discovered the most fascinating scenic views of that area. From mountain to desert to waterfall, we went up Mt. Penanjakan, right next to Mt. Bromo to witness the magnificent sunrise, travelled across Pasir Berbisik to listen the gentle whisper of the sea of sand, and finally to Madakaripura Waterfall.
